BREAKING UP IS THE GREATEST THING TO DO
Schisms are the great crises and the great opportunities of the churches, and by the same token of all the great and lesser religions of the world. Our churches and our world religions have brought undoubted benefits to humanity, but at the same time, deep and sometimes terrible troubles. Our churches and religions have brought peace and care and compassion in the truest sense of spirituality and in the truest sense of our feel for the sacredness of us as human beings, and of our world, our Mother Earth and of the entire creation ‘of God’. But our churches and our religions have also brought to us terrible exclusivity of mind, terrible exclusion of others, and indeed war and hatred and tribulation.
Now, as our churches and religions fragment, or merely diminish, they can feel threatened and can feel that very diminishing as a spiritual darkness that will ultimately engulf them and bring to them an end of their being. BUT…
But, that fracturing and diminishing is the great opportunity for all our churches, faiths and religions. For the key to true spirituality, to living and making manifest the true sacred life, is to recognise at last that all the pathways to God, no matter what they might be called, are true and valid pathways to God. How we live our lives, the compassion and peace and love we hold in our hearts, is always key, whilst the dogmas and doctrines we might espouse and cling to, the very dogmas and doctrines that are actually all that is threatened by the fragmenting and diminishing of our churches, faiths and religions, are invariably mired in exclusivity and separation. And it is exclusivity and separation that will forever exclude us from true communion with God.
So we live in remarkable times, if the adherents of our various faiths and religions would only learn to rejoice in the seeming diminishment of what they believe in, in terms of dogma and doctrine, and instead embrace all faiths and religions, all adherents of all those faiths and religions: ALL as being ONE in our search for, and pilgrimage towards, God. This is the great opportunity for all the fracturing faiths to become ONE with ALL, and thereby proclaim and live the truth at last of ‘God with us’.
All who seek God, all who are now upon the great spiritual and unbeknown to them the great mystical quest for God, can enter a new sense of being, all with each other, that can bring true spiritual unfoldment to our world, that can bring true spiritual healing to all our people, even and especially to our beautiful Mother Earth, our Holy Gaia.
