INSIGHT 28. WE ARE ONE BECAUSE WE ARE CONNECTED. WE ARE ONE WITH OUR MOTHER EARTH OUR HOLY GAIA, BECAUSE WE ARE CONNECTED WITH HER. WE ARE ONE WITH EACH OTHER BECAUSE WE ARE SPIRITUALLY CONNECTED, BECAUSE WE ARE ALL SACRED. WE ARE ONE WITH THE UNIVERSE, WITH THE WHOLE OF CREATION, BECAUSE THE FUNDAMENTAL SPIRITUAL AND SACRED TRUTH THAT IS INTEGRAL TO THE UNIVERSE IS THAT ALL IS ONE AND THAT ALL ARE CONNECTED. THAT IS ALL WE NEED TO KNOW.

These insights, that were begun by Richard Dell right back in the early 1990s, touch on all the most meaningful and indeed important religious and spiritual issues of our times. They are the same now as they were then. These Insights see religion just as firmly grounded in the Earth and in the stars as it is in the spirit and in the heavens. Richard sees no distinction between the material and spiritual realms. ALL is ONE. This comes through so clearly in these Insights, and that is why the environmental movement – our awakening at last to the needs of Gaia, of our planet – is as important as any spiritual quest, as important as all our need for healing, and is and must be an integral part of that holistic oneness that we must achieve in all that we do. It is also why issues such as Black Lives Matter are deeply spiritual. Richard sees inclusivity as being at the core of all our spiritual and religious endeavours. ALL is indeed ONE. And that mantra is the key to humanity’s future evolution: spiritual, social and political. We are CONNECTED. We are ourselves, and we are each other, and we are the environment in which we function. Gouge out rock and earth, and we gouge out something within ourselves. That is one of the great spiritual truths about us, about the meaning and purpose of our lives. That is the key to our sacred calling.

LINES OF CONNECTION, LIVES OF INTERCONNECTEDNESS. WE AWAKEN TO THE SACRED CONNECTEDNESS OF THE OUR MOTHER EARTH, OUR HOLY GAIA. WE AWAKEN TO OUR SACRED AND INTENSELY SPIRITUAL CONNECTEDNESS TO OUR MOTHER EARTH, OUR HOLY GAIA. AS AT LAST WE AWAKEN TO OUR SACRED AND INTENSELY SPIRITUAL CONNECTEDNESS TO EACH OTHER. AND WITH THIS AWAKENING, SO SHALL COME OUR SPIRITUAL HEALING OF OURSELVES, OF EACH OTHER, OF OUR COMMUNITIES AND AT LAST OF OUR MOTHER EARTH, OUR HOLY GAIA.

If our planet generates ley lines of interconnected energy flows, as some tell us it does; much as our bodies, some say, are connected by acupuncture flows of energy lines, then everything we do to our planet, the roads we carve into the landscape, the buildings we erect, and of course the mines, both deep and open cast, that we gouge out of the rock and earth, will have inevitable deleterious consequences for us all. We are all connected to the ALL. We live and breathe with our planet’s living and rhythmic breathing. 

On the other hand, if ley lines do not exist, we cannot, nonetheless, allow ourselves to be cavalier and dismissive with regards to what we do to our planet. We are CONNECTED. We are ourselves, and we are each other, and we are the environment in which we function. Gouge out rock and earth, and we gouge out something within ourselves. We also must then live and breathe, must necessarily resonate with, our planet’s wound. We can never be separate from what we have done, and what we do, and what we will do.
